antiacid writeup

Antacids are usually took to relieve heartburn or indigestion caused by having to much stomach acid. I was not here for the lab but however i know that in the lab you were trying to get the vinegar at a normal PH blance which is 7.Vinegar is a 9 in PH.
 
 
 
Tums are an antacids that are made of sucrose (sugar). Tums are an over the counter drug that help prevent heart burn, indigestion, and acid indigestion. they happen to be a calcium supplement. 



 
 
Maalox is  a liquid antacid that is usually used to help prevent or reduce stomach acid. It contains calcium carbonate. If you take to much it can act as a laxative. Maalox contains aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and simethicone.
 
 
 
The active ingredients in rolaids are calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide. The amount of active ingredients has increased up to a 1000mg of calcium carbonate and 200mg of magnesium hydroxide for the extra strength ones.
